Last week I saw a Dipper on the River Kelvin, less than two miles from the centre of Glasgow. Is this surprising?

Not really too surprising, but good news anyway. It shows how the efforts to clean up our waterways are doing good. I know Dippers are also present within Aberdeen City. Not too sure about Edinburgh, maybe someone else can confirm this.

Good news and not surprising.
Saw a Kingfisher by the side of a small pond on the York A64 the other day....a long way from the Ouse.
When I lived at Great Ouseburn, near York, I had a fab pond over the fence. Kingfishers would also visit that...miles from the River.
So Dippers and the King wiil travel..great news.
