I am considering a horseback riding/bird watching vacation tour package that is done through Equitours and includes day long rides (endurance rides) along the Redwood Coast. (I am not concerned about the riding part, since I am experienced, but I will have to work on getting into shape. I usually ride for short periods two to three times a week in good weather. I will have to work up to being in the saddle for that long.) The tour isn't designed for birders and I don't want to go through the agony of getting into shape without knowing that the birding is worth it or not.
Does anyone have any birding experience in these areas?
