World Trip Reports

Cambodia: Ibises and Floricans

Fellow BF'ers,

Here is the link to a trip report from a great, recent visit to Cambodia:

Cambodia

Enjoy,

Hanno

Hi Hanno,

Nice report. I was getting a little worried about you visiting so late in the season (Richard had mentioned the visit a while back), well done though, getting the prehistoric Ibis in at the death must have been a relief! White-rumped Falcon must have been a surprise bonus! I managed a male near to Tmat Boey this year.

Florican looks like it was close! Great stuff. Certainly a place I would recommend to any birder, agree with the service at the Arunras though, they have absolutely no interest in service with a smile!

Hi James,

Yes, the rains had already started, I think we made it just in time. And I am not complaining about the birds we saw.

Cambodia is certainly a great destination for any birder, roads and acommodation were better than expected. Now, if only they could learn a thing or two about friendly service from the Vietnamese or Thais........
