Buffleheads in Woodbridge

Last week I saw just the male Bufflehead. I went back last night not expecting to see him again. Well there he was to my delight with a girlfriend right by his side. Beautiful!

Beautiful indeed! They visit the Reservoir and Trutle Pond in New York's Central Park. It would be a close match among wood ducks, buffleheads and hooded mergansers, as to which is the prettiest waterfowl in Central Park.

Happy birdwatching,
Arthur Pinewood
