Thought i would give a few brief trip reports/species lists seen on purely party holidays to various parts of the mediterranean to give anyone that may be doing something similar an idea of what can be seen, as i struggled to find trip reports before my trips. On all trips no optics where taken (except beer goggles!) and birding was minimal, just what i happened to see, not visiting any birding sites, with maybe one or two short walks in the afternoon

stayed in san antonio
scopoli's shearwater(sev seen very close from a 'boat party'!), audouins gull(v.common), yellow-legged gull, black-headed gull, collard dove, swift(birds breeding around the islets out in the bay may have been more exotic than the mainland birds), swallow, house martin, house sparrow, greenfinch, zitting cisticola(present just on outskirts of san antonio, in rough grassland by the round-about on the C-731(?). Also had untickable views(v.distant!) of the flamingoes on the saltpans from the departure lounge
Ibiza, 1-8 july 2009
stayed in san antonio again
shag, scopoli's shearwater, kestrel( 3 definate commons, one male seen distantly from the hotel gave me an gut feeling of lesser, though too distant), eleonoras falcon(prolonged views of a pair right over head just inland of calla bassa beach), stone-curlew(airport), yellow-legged gull, audouins gull, collard dove, turtle dove, woodpigeon, swift, house martin, swallow, blackbird, sardinian warbler(common), spotted flycatcher, woodchat shrike, serin(heard every day, only saw 1!), house sparrow. Also a scops owl was calling right outside my hotel one night, heard a cisticola in the same area as seen the previous year whilst flying past in a taxi and saw the dots that should be flamingoes again from the airport.
I hope these may be of some use to someone and goes to show that you can see some good species without really trying in places like these, even if most of the time your completely intoxicated!
