Books for listing in the field

A friend of mine came down to visit the other weekend to go down to Sandwich Bay Observatory. When we were in the hide he brought out a green book to write down notes for the day and tick of any new sightings. It is about twice the size of the traditional Policemans note books and considerably thicker. I think it was printed by Croxton Press (or someone sounding very similar). Unfortunately I can't remember what it is called.

I want to ask Santa if he can instruct his elves to get me one of these books for Christmas, but I am concerned that he won't know where to send them. Does anybody know what I am talking about, and if so any ideas where I can get one - mail order if possible.

Thanks,

Iain
