Blue Springs State Park Kayking Trip

My first experience in a kayak and it was amazing. Now I would like
to buy my own kayak. My son Paul took me in to this little cove on the
St. Johns River (we went out at the mouth of Blue Springs as the Springs
are closed to kayaks and swimmers until the Manatee leave.)

And I was blown away by the amount of wildlife you can see on the water
when "you go to them". In this little cove were hundreds of Ibis. And
as we entered their feeding area they all flew up over our heads like a sea
of white clouds. It was a very thrilling experience. I have always been
afraid of getting in single boats on the water. But I will try this again
and again because I can see so much more.

Rather than post lots of these photographs. They are here under
the photo of me in a kayak on my homepage.

Anyone else have their first kayak experience.
