I found this little character quite fascinating when it started showing up in my garden in Drammen, Norway in early March 2002, and was amazed when he came back again in Feb 2003. I believe that it is a blue-tit with partial melanism.
It appeared to be quite healthy, just lacking white pigmentation, thus giving him a completely black head.
Has anyone else seen anything quite like this?
