My wife and I had 2weeks in T&T May3-17 2007. We put ourselves in the hands of Glyn at www.holidays in tobago. He did everything!! Met on arrival by Glyn and taken to Blue Waters Inn at the top of NW Tobago. Superb spot and comfy. 28 new speices round the Inn in a day including seabirds-Frigate Birds, Roseate Terns, Noddy Terns. Other birds included Motmots, Tanagers, Bananaquites & Hummings Birds. Trips had been organised with Newton George and these were excellent. Skimmers, Mangrove Cuckoo, Trogan, Flycatchers, Red Footed Booby, White Winged Swallow. 99 different birds on Tobago. Off to Trinidad via Glyns vehicle, and then hopper plane. He asked for an assessment of the reip so far. Excellent but we could have had some cold drinks provided on our days out. All tours were in the price. Asa Wright was the centre in Trinidad. Spoilt for luxury, service and superb guiding staff. Always one to help identifaction. The delight included: Hummings Birds, Antshrikes, AntWrens, Orpendola, Woodpeckers, Honey Creepers; Manakins. A Toucan was seen in the scopes. We organised our own tours (not included in Trinidad). Scarlet Ibis: Ospreys: Vultures, Grey & Savanah Hawks: Great Billed Terns: Great Ani: Trogans: Flycatcher among another 61 New Birds: Total 160. Try Glyn and his personal service, well priced and well organised. Lockhat.
Lockhat,
Thanks for the suggestion. I hope to get to Tobago someday. We spent 4 days at Asa Wright 2 years ago and also loved it.
