are common myna rare in florida ?

see last time i went down to florida i went to my grandpas house and so we went too publix me my mom and in the parking lot was a bird i never saw before ever so i went crazy for the last couple weeks and then realized that the bird was a common myna and it said its mostly common in asia, but then they are re introducing them here in florida so im not sure if its rare, also another rare occurance was when i used to live in long island i saw an un tagged barnacle goose with a bunch of canada geese, i mean its probably not rare in the winter but lots of people went to go find it and take pics of it so im guessing it was quite rare, well ty all for listening and ttyl

Sibley describes it as "rapidly increasing in southern Florida". No maps given.

There seems to be a good number of rare species happening in Florida, I've seen purple swamp hens and hoopoes. I think that a lot of captive bread species cage's are getting damaged by hurricanes allowing them to get loose. The climate in Florida seems to suit a lot of these captive bread species thefore they are able to establish themselves very easily in the wild.
