Well, it's quite a long read and I haven't the technical know-how to post it in it's entirity on the Forums, so get yourselves a beer or two and sit down for a long night!
Cornwall Trip Report
There's quite a few photos on some of the links, so they may take a while to download.
Hope it's not too boring!

Welcome back CJW,
Great write up, really enjoyed reading it. Well written, funny and, of course very envy-making!
I agree about the Little Egrets... they've got a real gripper dahn sarf!
It was interesting to read about the moths. After my Convolvulus this year my interest has really picked up, but still you've reported about a dozen or more that I've never heard of.
Unfortunately, I've got a poor connection at the minute, it seems, so I haven't been able to look at any of your photos.
I'll be back...!!!
Great report CJW I am envious of your Deaths Head Hawk Moth, although didn't see it in your final listing. I hate it when you list Goldcrests as common sightings I have been looking for years and only recently found one and on my on patch to boot. I think the Merlin is a super little raptor I was lucky enough to see one in flight and hunting then rest up on a gate post close enough to get a good close up view.
