Gambia trip report. 4th to 18th December 2007

Gambia 2007 4th to 18th Dec, staying at the Senegambia hotel.
This was a two week holiday with my wife. I had booked a guide for 5 days over the internet. The rest of the holiday would be spent relaxing and birding in the hotel grounds, apart from one day, we booked the Roots trip which we both enjoyed very much. This was my second visit to the Gambia, last year I went with a tour company. Although we had a big list over seven days, I enjoyed this holiday even more. I had time to digest what I had seen, and spend more time on photograghy. Our guide Ebrima Barry was exellent with bird calls, and was very enthusiastic himself, he also had lots of patience while I took photograghs. My wife found him very kind and considerate. I cannot recommend Ebrima Barry highly enough.
